Growing up in the town of Lasalle and playing sports all my life, I knew I wanted to further my interests in the healthcare field by taking the OTA/PTA program at St.Clair in Chatham. After 2 years of studying hard and gaining placement experience at a long-term care home and physiotherapy clinic, I quickly found an interest in rehabilitation through exercise, and providing patient care. Working at ABPT surrounded by welcoming, positive people has helped me enhance my knowledge of the human body to create the best possible outcomes for our patients.

I completed my Human Kinetics degree at the university of Windsor. After successfully completing 3 co-op placements while in University, I knew I wanted to be part of the physiotherapy world. I did personal training from 2007-2011 at two separate gyms, then made my way to Active Body in the fall of 2011. I have completed my level 1 kinsiotaping certification and i am a certified ImPact concussion test administrator.

I started working in the Physiotherapy world in 2001 at CBI Physiotherapy where I first met JP when he started as a new grad from Queen's University. I was very impressed by JP's enthusiasm and how he sincerely cared for his patients. I therefore decided to venture on with JP and Sherri when they opened Active Body Physical Therapy in 2003. We have worked together since then and I look forward to many more years with Sherri and JP.

After completing my Bachelor of Human Kinetics (2014), and my Bachelor of Education (2017) from the University of Windsor I wasn't sure what path I wanted to take next. Since starting at Active Body in 2020 I discovered my love and passion for rehabilitation through exercise. Working at Active Body has given me the opportunity to learn something new every single day surrounded by such a fantastic team. I am excited to continue to grow and help more clients through their rehabilitation journey.

Saverio Lombardo

Saverio was born and raised in Windsor Ontario and graduated from University of Windsor in 2001. Specializing in functional capacity evaluations, job site analysis, post offer screens, ergonomic assessments and facilitating work hardening programs that leads to return to work. In addition, Saverio has been training young athletes since 2002 to higher levels of performance through advanced sport testing protocols and program design.

Growing up in Tecumseh, I have always been a very active person and have been interested in the healthcare field. In 2020, I graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics, focusing on Movement Science. During my time there, I discovered a passion and interest in rehabilitation science, specifically through exercise. Active Body Physical Therapy is a very supportive and positive environment and I am very happy to be a part of this fantastic team.
CASEY WONSCH

History:
I was born and raised in Lakeshore and graduated as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a Physiotherapy Assistant from St. Clair College. Being active throughout my life, through competitive soccer, track and field as well as general fitness, I took an interest in the health care field. I first graduated with a Fitness and Health Promotion Diploma from Fanshawe College. While in this program, I took an Athletic Injuries course which introduced me to the rehabilitation of injuries and led me to continue on with my education. During the OTA/PTA program, I was able to gain experience in a variety of settings including privately owned clinics. Throughout these experiences, I was able to work with a variety of clients to help rehabilitate their injuries. I am always learning from the Physiotherapists here at Active Body, and will continue to learn and grow throughout my career.

I recently began my position as an Administrative Assistant at Active Body after graduating the Medical Office Assistant program at Canadian College in October of 2022. I have a background in law and clerical work and many years of customer service experience. I am a mother to 4 beautiful children, and one fur baby. In my spare time I am a movie buff and enjoy foreign subtitled films. I am looking forward to growing in my career at Active Body!
